Ideal church
Ideal church is a community that follows the ideal of the church presented in the Bible. But in reality, we often follow human-made customs rather than following the truth of the Bible. The church, which does not take Jesus(truth, love) as its head, eventually follows human beings(false, greed) as its head and goes to the path of sin and corruption as Satan intended.
a) The church is the body of Jesus Christ, the head of the church.
Eph.4:15~16 but, speaking the truth in
love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- from
whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint
supplies, according to the effective working by which every part
does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself
in love.
The most common reference to the church in the Bible is that the church is the body of Jesus, the head of the church. So, each of the saints must abandon his greed and live according to Jesus' will. The church is a collective body of Jesus.
There is one head, but the body is composed of several parts. Each parts moves as ordered by the head and functions as important. There is no case
that parts trying to be a head or fighting each other. The head of the church is not the pope or pastor, but only Jesus Christ.
b) The church is the temple of God.
Eph.2:19~22 Now, therefore, you are no longer
strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and
members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation
of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief
corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together,
grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being
built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
The second definition of the church is the temple that God lives in. In reality, the Holy Spirit sent by Father is
comig to the church Only the holy saint can be a temple of God that does not collapse forever.
John4:24 'God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship
in spirit and truth."
Rom.12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
In the Old Testament, we went to God as a sacrifice, but in the New Testament era we worship God with spirit and truth. The greatest gift when worshiping God is to give yourself a living
sacrifice.
c) The church is a community that practices the love of Christ.
Acts2:42~47 And they continued steadfastly
in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread,
and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders
and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed
were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions
and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So
continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread
from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity
of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people.
And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
The saints of the early church shared their possessions, sold their own possessions, distributed them to the poor, but they were joyous and praised God. As such, the people of the world have become more favorable and more people believe. This is to practice the words that command the love of the neighbor, and to represent the sacrifice love of Jesus.
Human beings are naturally greedy and selfish, so it is not easy to share their own. God pours joy when he helps or serves without any other price. The practice of love for the neighbors is a reward for the love of Jesus' cross that died for me. Therefore, even if you do good, do not show it, but you should be satisfied with what Jesus knows.
