In
firrst, what is salvation? Ps.38:22 Make haste to help me, O Lord
my salvation. Ps.55:16 As for me, I will call upon God;
and the LORD shall save me. In the psalm, David is driven and threatened by King Saul, asking God to save him many times.
Heb.9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
2Cor.13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except
ye be reprobates? People usually think it is not difficult to be saved.
Matt.7:13~14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad
[is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which
go in thereat: Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is]
the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
There are many people going to the wide and comfortable road to destruction, but not many people go to the narrow and difficult road that leads to life. Luke13:23~24
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he
said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many,
I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Jesus gave a negative answer to the question of whether there are few people who are saved. Luke13:25
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to
the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door,
saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto
you, I know you not whence ye are: Those who came to the wide door and the comfortable way were rejeccted
by Jesus in front of the Heaven Gate because they did not come through the narrow door and the hard way. Luke13:26~28
Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence,
and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you,
I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of
iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye
shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in
the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out. Luke13:29~30
And they shall come from the east, and [from] the west, and from
the north, and [from] the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom
of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there
are first which shall be last. They ate and drank in front of Jesus, and even though they were taught by Jesus, they were expelled from heaven and cried for
illegal behavior by Jesus.
Matt.13:47~48
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into
the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full,
they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels,
but cast the bad away. Luke12:32
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to
give you the kingdom. Jesus says heaven is like throwing a net (gospel) into the sea (world) and catching many fishs (people), but it is like dragging them to the beach (judgment table) and putting good fishs (people) in a bowl (heaven), and bad fishs (people) out (going to hell).
Matt.20:16
So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called,
but few chosen. Matt.22:14
For many are called, but few [are] chosen. Num.32:11~13 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD. And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
Acts19:15
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I
know; but who are ye? I saw myself unable to expel devils that bothered me, and I realized that I had not been fully saved.
Rom.12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
